How Rule-Based Trading Systems Work

हिन्दी में पढ़ें

What a rule-based system is

A rule-based system is a written plan with no gaps. Anyone reading it should be able to say what to do in every situation. If a step depends on a feeling, it is not yet a rule.

The four parts

Entry rules say when to take a trade. Exit rules say when to leave, both for a loss and for a gain. Risk rules say how much to put at stake in one trade and in one day. Filters say when not to trade at all.

Why people like rules

Rules reduce guessing and help you stay consistent. They also make it easy to review: you can look back and see whether you followed the plan or broke it.

Where it goes wrong

Rules built on too little data, or tuned to fit the past, often fail in live markets. Costs such as brokerage and slippage can also turn a good-looking plan into a poor one.

Key points

Trading involves risk. This article is for education and information only. It is not investment advice, and no course or method promises a return or removes the risk of loss.
